Rev. Shaun Drefahl grew up in a suburb near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In early adulthood, he pursued a music career while also working in a large bakery/distribution facility. In his mid-twenties he began attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he earned his B.A. majoring in History and Comparative Study of Religions and minoring in Philosophy. In 2010 he received his Master of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary. While in seminary Rev. Drefahl focused his studies on pastoral care and counseling as well as social justice work. In 2011, Rev. Drefahl became pastor of Bainbridge Community UCC, where he brings his "down to earth" personality, humor, love of popular culture, and his informed engagement with important issues of our day to his ministry and sermons. Rev. Drefahl is also a regular contributor to the "Feed Your Spirit" section of the UCC website and he frequently plays bass guitar or guitar for worship and other church events. In his free time he enjoys time with family and friends, playing music, and watching movies.
