It doesn’t matter if you are new to the area or have been here for 70 years, there are new things happening at Bainbridge Community UCC. We are a congregation looking to redefine what it means to follow Jesus in the 21st Century. As an Open and Affirming congregation we invite and accept all God’s Children regardless of identity or ability in the full life and leadership of the church. In recognizing the spirit speaks to everyone differently, there is no expectation everyone will agree all the time. Our goal is to be like the four gospels: different understandings of the same message. We believe God is still speaking and our concepts and interpretations have to evolve with God’s ongoing revelation.
Our main entrance is located in the back of the building directly off the parking lot has a ramp. The entire church is on one floor and has a handicap accessible bathroom by the main entrance.
Brian Saxe was just called to Bainbridge Community UCC in 2019. He grew up in Stow, Oh, and has lived all over the state. He and his two young children currently live in Cuyahoga Falls. He graduated from Bethany College with BA in Political Science and later from Xavier University with an MA in Theology. He loves pop culture and long walks on the beach.
Brian's outlook on Christianity is simple: God sent Jesus to make people and the communities they live in better. The rest is details.
The United Church of Christ (UCC) is a distinct and diverse community of Christians that come together as one church to join faith and action.
